  • Here's a thought--digital media and sharing opens up a lot of professional development ideas for some of us special educators who tend to feel isolated within our communities. We could follow the example of Japanese lesson study and observe a "lesson" in action--which might be the creation of an ongoing series of pod- or webcasts, a class or team blog, or a wiki textbook. Like the lesson study folks, we would have a shared experience of observing <lurking> what students in inclusive settings have done (no need to disclose disabilities, just address the aspects of universal design). We could use web conferencing to debrief, brainstorm, develop solutions, and continue in a recursive, reflective cycle! Cool, huh?
  • i think the above Idea is Great! Also, thank you to whomever started the "Ideas for Student Use" page. There are some GREAT ideas there! - Brian
